Travel Vaccinations

Travel vaccines are no longer offered here at PHS since we do not offer routine primary care clinical services or have a travel vaccine clinic. We also cannot recommend what vaccines are suggested over the phone, since that is a discussion that must be had with a licensed medical provider certified to order travel vaccines and preventive oral medications, based on geographical travel location and disease trends in the area you plan on visiting.

Your provider may discuss travel plans to measure risk and need for certain vaccines, review your current immunization records, and may even order labs to verify immunity status.

What are your options?

  1. You and your primary care provider should be able to discuss your travel plans and research the CDC resource traveler page here https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel// to inform your decision on recommended travel vaccines and learn about recommended tips for best illness prevention practices during travel to certain countries or geographical areas. After that discussion, a final decision can be made between you and your healthcare provider.
  2. If your provider is unable to offer this service, you can search Yellow Fever Vaccine Clinics to find a travel vaccine appointment near you (providers on this list will likely stock most travel vaccines, and not just the Yellow Fever vaccine). You should call the clinic for details.
